US hits Kharg Island: અમેરિકાએ સીધો Iran ના દિલ પર હુમલો કર્યો છે. Middle East માં વધી રહેલા તણાવ વચ્ચે Kharg Island પર થયેલો આ હુમલો બહુ જ મહત્વનો માનવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે. આ નાનકડું island Persian Gulf માં Iran ના coast થી લગભગ 25 km દૂર આવેલું છે, પરંતુ તેની economic value ખુબ મોટી છે.
Kharg Island ને ઘણા experts Iran ની oil economy ની lifeline કહે છે. કારણ કે Iran ના લગભગ 90% crude oil exports આ જ island પરથી દુનિયાના market માં જાય છે. સરળ ભાષામાં કહીએ તો, જો Iran દર 10 barrel oil export કરે છે તો તેમાંના લગભગ 9 barrel ખર્ગ આઇલેન્ડ ના terminal મારફતે જ બહાર જાય છે.
આ island પર મોટા oil storage tanks, loading terminals અને deep-water jetty છે જ્યાં એક સાથે અનેક supertankers oil ભરાવી શકે છે. અહીં લગભગ 30 million barrels જેટલું oil store કરવાની capacity પણ છે.
Iran ની economy માટે ખર્ગ આઇલેન્ડ કેમ મહત્વનું છે?
- Iran ના લગભગ 90% oil exports અહીંથી થાય છે
- Government budget નો અંદાજે 40% revenue oil export થી આવે છે
- Middle East energy market માં Iran નું મુખ્ય export hub
એટલે સરળ ભાષામાં કહીએ તો Iran ની economy નો લગભગ અડધો ભાગ આ એક island પર depend છે.
તાજેતરમાં Donald Trump એ પોતાના Truth Social platform પર જણાવ્યું કે Kharg Island પર રહેલી Iran ની military facilities, radar system, air defense system, gun posts અને security infrastructure પર powerful airstrike કરવામાં આવી. આ હુમલામાં લગભગ 90 military targets destroy થયા હોવાનું કહેવાય છે.
પરંતુ હાલમાં એક મહત્વની વાત એ છે કે oil infrastructure ને જાણબૂઝીને target કરવામાં આવ્યું નથી. કારણ કે જો oil terminal ને સીધો નુકસાન થાય તો તેની અસર માત્ર Iran પર નહિ પરંતુ global oil market પર પણ પડી શકે છે.
Experts કહે છે કે જો Kharg Island લાંબા સમય માટે બંધ થઈ જાય તો:
- દુનિયામાં oil supply ઘટી શકે
- crude oil price ખુબ વધી શકે
- global inflation વધવાની શક્યતા
- stock market માં મોટો shock આવી શકે
એક બીજી મોટી tension Strait of Hormuz ને લઈને છે. દુનિયાનું લગભગ 20% oil trade આ sea route પરથી પસાર થાય છે. જો અહીં conflict વધે તો world economy પર તેનો મોટો અસર થઈ શકે છે.
હાલ situation ખુબ sensitive છે અને Middle East માં tension વધી રહ્યો છે
